PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the operations/activities of the Sales & Marketing Dept.
- Develops the annual Marketing Plan and reviews actions plans regularly for the implementations of the departments.
- Develops and implements products and programs for local and international markets to generate or facilitate sales
- Supervises the promotion of the Hotel, its facilities and services with individuals, companies, organizations and secure bookings, arrangements, contracts to achieve sales target volume objectives
- Conducts market research to develop the effective sales & promotional programs & make necessary recommendations
- Makes recommendations for the Hotel’s improvement of services and facilities
- Evaluates the performance of the department personnel
- Directs training of new staff and determines specific training needs for the department
- Entertains prospective clients and provides them with the desired information
- Secures membership in professional or civic organization in facilitating the conduct of work; attend their meetings, otherwise participate in their deliberations
- Handles sales activities and correspondence that need immediate attention
- Handles packages/programs for the Hotel specifically during low seasons
- Handles educational groups and visiting VIP’s and agents by way of meet assistance, hosting cocktails, etc.
- Reviews productivity reports of all clients
- Analyzes monthly production and periodic reports of the Sales & Marketing department and other incoming business in the hotel
- Conducts regular sales calls to agents in the overseas market and other market as deemed necessary to solicit business
- Conducts wholesalers, tour operators’ incentive organizers regularly and updates them of the Hotel’s services, facilities and programs and to develop and maintain good relationship with them
- Negotiates room rates with foreign agents and finalize them; and prepares contract
- Establishes the appropriate rates/discounts for all overseas accounts, FTI’s or groups
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned from time to time
REPORT LINE & COMMUNICATION
- Reports to General Manager and if applicable works closely with designated Corporate Office.
- Coordinates functions and activities with other departments in relation to the Sales and Marketing affairs. Liaises with concerned departments to ensure that operations deliver the best quality product and service to our clients

JOB REQUIREMENT
- Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline
- Minimum of 6 years sales experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a 5 star class environment
- Have excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Be self-motivated, result-oriented, resourceful and possesses leadership qualities
- Possesses professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
