Facility overview:

M42 in partnering with the UAE Ministry of Defence to operate Zayed Military Hospital (National & Military Screening Service) in Al Batayeh, Sharjah. This collaboration will provide world-class healthcare to over three million residents in the northern UAE, including military personnel and their families. By integrating top healthcare providers like the Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Healthpoint, M42 will ensure access to specialized and preventative care. Full-scale operations are set to launch in early 2025.

Role overview:

This role involves performing venipuncture to collect blood samples from patients of all ages and conditions, including Pediatric, adult, pregnant, and geriatric patients, in compliance with M42 and DOH/DHA policies. Responsibilities also include accurately collecting, processing, and maintaining blood, urine, or culture samples.

Responsibilities

  • Performs phlebotomy on patients of all ages for medical tests, transfusions, or research.
  • Follows sterile techniques for blood draws, labelling, and processing samples.
  • Ensures high-quality samples within two attempts.
  • Guides patients on collecting urine specimens for specific tests.
  • Adheres to aseptic protocols for handling and storing samples.
  • Records and validates test results accurately.
  • Communicates important patient issues with medical staff.
  • Maintains supply inventory and clear team communication.

Qualifications

  • Minimun 6 months program in Medical Laboratory Sciences.
  • DOH/DHA License, BLS, and relevant ACLS/PALS certifications.
  • Proficient in phlebotomy, lab procedures, regulations, culturally sensitive communication, Microsoft Office, and fluent in English.
