Introduction

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist for product classification to join the Trade Compliance team. Your role plays a crucial part to contribute to our business.

In this position, you will report to Director, Trade Compliance.

This position is mainly located in Sorocaba/SP.

What You’ll Do

  • Support classification of materials with customs tariff codes (e.g., HS Codes, TARIC, HTS) in SAP GTS, for ensuring availability of the tariff codes at import/export customs clearances and hence contributing to On-Time Delivery performance
  • Review product technical specifications and apply the General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) of the Harmonized Schedule (HS) to assign correct customs tariff codes to materials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as engineering and product lines to ensure accurate tariff classifications for materials.
  • Prepare, validate, and maintain master datasets critical for global classification processes.
  • Support import duty and tariff classification analysis requests, and handle other tasks assigned to you.

Who You Are

  • Preferably study background in, e.g., Industrial or product engineering
  • Interested global trade, motivated, open, and eager to learn new things.
  • A team player, while also working independently on certain tasks.
  • A customer-focused and innovative approach and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
