Major Duties Of Chef
- Direct and coordinate food or beverage preparation
- Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour, and overhead costs.
- Prepare and cook foods in quantity of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
- Based on customers preferences develop menu.
- Enforce OH&S and hygiene regulations.
- Inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance.
- Requisition stock, materials, supplies or equipment.
- Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and another kitchen worker.
- Schedule employee work hours by coordinating activities.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established.

- Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions.
Full Time Duties Of a Cook
Setting up workstations and operating kitchen equipment
Measuring and weighing ingredients
Following recipes and set menus
Baking, grilling, steaming or boiling fish, meat, vegetables and other foods
Presenting and garnishing dishes
Adhering to kitchen hygiene and safety standards
Maintaining a clean workspace at all times
Monitoring stock levels
Keeping up with cooking techniques and methods
Work experience: At least two years’ Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred
Education/Skills: Relevant Qualifications
Salary: A$75,000 – A$85,000+ 11% Superannuation
Annual Leave: 4 weeks
Working Hours: 38 Hrs per week
