Position Overview

Diamond Baseball Holdings is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized, and results-oriented sales leader to oversee ticketing strategy and operations for three Minor League Baseball teams: the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, Inland Empire 66ers, and Ontario Professional Baseball Club. This regional Director, Ticket Sales role will be instrumental in building and executing short-term and long-term ticket revenue, attendance, and retention strategies across multiple markets. The position will report to and collaborate with the General Managers of each team.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Strategic Ticketing Leadership: Develop, implement, and execute the ticket sales strategies for the three teams, aligning them with organizational goals for revenue growth, attendance, and retention.
  • Sales Execution: Actively maintain and grow a personal book of ticket sales business while supporting the overall team’s sales efforts.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Identify, recruit, hire, train, and lead sales teams across the region, fostering a high-performing and dynamic sales environment.
  • Performance Management: Evaluate daily activities of the sales teams and provide regular feedback, training, coaching, and leadership through consistent reviews and performance tracking.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Guide team members through every stage of the sales process, from prospecting and qualifying potential clients to presenting solutions and closing sales.
  • Campaign Effectiveness: Measure and analyze the success of sales campaigns and offerings, recommending and implementing adjustments for continuous improvement.
  • Community Engagement: Build and cultivate relationships within the communities of Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, and Ontario to drive ticket sales and create a robust sales pipeline.
  • Client Relationship Management: Utilize client feedback to enhance offerings, address concerns, and strengthen communication to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Partnership Development: Represent the teams at community events, identifying key relationships and partnerships that support ticketing growth and organizational visibility.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on industry and league trends to bring fresh ideas and insights that improve the ticket sales portfolio for all three teams.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the General Managers of each team to align ticketing initiatives with broader team and organizational strategies.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sport Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 4+ years of ticket sales or other B2B/B2C sales experience.
    • Minimum of 2+ years in a sales leadership role, including hiring and developing staff.
  • Skills and Attributes:
    • Proven ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing sales teams.
    • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • A creative and innovative mindset, with a willingness to take calculated risks and drive continuous improvement.

  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the role.

Location:

This position is based in Southern California and requires regular travel between Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, and Ontario.
