Facilities Engineer – Chemical (University Hire)

About The Position

This role is for recent university graduates and will support operating facilities and projects through the application of technical engineering knowledge and project management skills. These areas of support may include:

  • Optimizing facilities to deliver maximum value safely and reliably
  • Providing technical engineering support for turnarounds and projects
  • Developing and/or deploying industry leading technologies to reduce carbon, increase efficiency and maximize returns
  • Using digitalization and data analytics to improve process operations and safety

Role

This role is an entry-level engineer and will be enrolled in a comprehensive early-career development program that includes formal training, competency development through hands-on experience, mentoring, and a variety of job assignments. This program is designed to help engineers build a strong technical foundation that will be valuable throughout their careers. Upon completion of the program, engineers have the flexibility to pursue roles that align with their developed expertise or explore other areas of interest including:

  • Reliability & Integrity Engineering – focused on asset integrity, reliability, maintainability, and operability of operating assets
  • Technical Safety Engineering – identify hazards, assess risk, and develop mitigation strategies through application of engineering design principles to a managed level of risk for operating facilities and capital projects
  • Engineering Design & Projects – deliver high quality designs and predictable execution of projects through the development and application of sound engineering and design principles and processes
  • General Facilities Engineering – support operating facilities through application of broad fundamental technical engineering knowledge and small project execution skills

Required Qualifications

  • Students completing the last year of the requirements for their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering; or, individuals with a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering with two years or less directly related work experience
  • Strong academic performance in core programs, communication, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in India as a citizen of India or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). Candidates must have the legal rights to work in India without the need for visa sponsorship
