At DXC Spain we are looking for a Network Engineer to join our great team of Networking and participate in an important international project.

Requirements

  • Around 4 years exposure in an operational environment (IT)
  • Experience in Palo Alto, F5, Clear Pass, Cisco Prime
  • Knowledge and experience on DNS with Infoblox
  • Industry certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Fortinet (NSE5, NSE7), etc. will be a plus
  • Knowledge Virtual network environments like Cisco ACI and NSX
  • To be fully complaint with contractual obligations (SLA), engineer must be able to take the ownership for solving outages or propose a workaround to restore the service. On call possible
  • Because of international company, several exchanges will be in English. Engineer must be able to communicate, or open a case on manufacturer side, in case of escalation or RMA

Tasks

  • Work with a ticketing tool for solving incidents, problems or create, setup changes
  • Troubleshooting flaws in software, hardware configuration, communications equipment, and then fixing problems as they arise. Resolve network problems reported by end user. Checking equipment logs for issues
  • Solve monitoring problems and maximizing network performance. Evaluating network. performance, including in local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless local area network (WLANs)
  • Setting up new network devices
  • Maintaining and upgrading existing networks device, software, and other programs to keep networks secure. Decommission obsolete equipment. Audit access control lists and permissions. Inventory assets and update diagrams. Securely back up running configurations
  • Failover and High availability test
