Senior Software Developer - Java

Chola is seeking an experienced Java developer to join their team immediately. This role is integral to developing backend systems that support critical business functions and enhance user experience through robust application performance.

Role Summary and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices.
• Utilize frameworks such as Spring Boot and Hibernate to build reliable backend solutions.
• Work collaboratively with front-end developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless user interactions.
• Enhance application speed and efficiency by profiling, debugging, and refactoring code.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to deliver high-quality releases supported by automated and manual testing.
• Engage in architectural planning to contribute toward the technical direction of projects.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience in Java software development.
• Strong command over Spring Framework including Spring Boot and Spring MVC, along with Hibernate/JPA.
• Proficient in creating and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with version control systems, primarily Git.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a commitment to producing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
