Overview
Advance your career by joining our team as a Quality Assurance Inspector at a leading distribution center located in Savannah, GA. We seek energetic, detail-focused individuals ready to ensure quality and accuracy in freight handling, offering opportunities to grow professionally.
Shift Details and Compensation
- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM earning $20/hour
- 2nd Shift: 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM earning $21/hour
- Shifts may include irregular or extended hours, weekends, and holidays, with workdays potentially ranging from 10 to 12 hours.
Key Duties
- Precisely examine and count all products in incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify the amount, quality, labeling, and addressing of outbound orders for accuracy.
- Report any shortages, damages, or incorrect shipments to relevant team members.
- Inspect orders prepared by selectors to ensure they meet accuracy standards.
- Cross-check orders against customer specifications to confirm shipment completeness and correctness.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in a comparable quality control role.
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Capability to work alternate hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift or pull up to 50 pounds without restriction and to stand or walk for up to 10–12 hours per shift.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
