Project Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role Overview

This position supports project teams by gathering, structuring, examining, and interpreting data to help improve planning, execution, and overall project performance. The role involves building and maintaining reports, dashboards, and visual displays that turn data into practical insights for stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret project-related data to support better decision-making.
• Create and update reports, dashboards, and data visualizations that highlight project schedules, budgets, resource use, risks, and key performance indicators.
• Track project metrics, spot patterns and trends, and assess project outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operations based on data findings.
• Assist with forecasting, performance monitoring, data checks, and reporting to keep project information accurate and consistent.
• Work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to support data-driven planning, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. The ideal candidate should bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a sharp eye for detail. Experience with spreadsheets, reporting software, data analysis methods, and visualization tools is valuable. Knowledge of databases, statistical methods, project performance measurement, and business reporting is an advantage. Strong communication and presentation skills are needed to explain complex data in a clear way to both technical and non-technical audiences. Good organization and time management are important for handling multiple deadlines and priorities. Familiarity with forecasting, process improvement methods, project management principles, and business intelligence concepts will be helpful.
