Production Operative

Job Overview

We are looking to hire Production Operatives for our jam manufacturing facility located in Histon, CB24 9NR. Various roles are open, with details to be discussed during the interview process. This is a full-time position with an average of 39 working hours per week, inclusive of a paid 30-minute break. Multiple rotating shift schedules are available to accommodate production needs.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting pay at 15.10 per hour basic rate, with potential shift premiums raising pay up to 18.71 per hour.
• Temporary contract with transition to permanent employment after 12 weeks, subject to meeting performance criteria.
• Weekly payments during the initial 12-week period, then transitioning to monthly pay cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic and safe work environment.
• Packaging finished products into boxes accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and organize workstations ahead of production runs.
• Communicate any issues or concerns to the team leader in a timely manner.

Requirements and Eligibility

• Capacity to work full 8-hour shifts.
• Previous experience is not necessary; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued.
• Must be able to reliably commute to Histon, CB24 9NR location.
• Own transportation is essential due to lack of public transit options.
• A positive attitude and readiness to collaborate within a team-based environment.

Shift Patterns

• Three-shift rotating schedule:
  • 06:00 1:48
  • 13:42 1:30
  • 21:30 06:00 (night shift)
• Two-shift rotating schedule:
  • 06:00 1:00 (Monday to Thursday)
  • 18:00 06:00 (Monday to Wednesday)
