Mobile Developer - iOS

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Developer to join a partner company of Haystack located in the Cologne Bonn Region. This position focuses on building and maintaining internal platforms, tools, and infrastructure that support the stability, scalability, and health of a mature iOS application environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain internal tools and frameworks to uphold consistent and scalable iOS applications.
• Participate in creating and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and developer tools that facilitate swift and reliable code releases.
• Address and reduce technical debt to improve codebase quality, emphasizing simplicity and maintainability.
• Collaborate extensively with mobile engineers from various teams, providing guidance on platform best practices and code reviews.
• Lead well-defined platform initiatives, managing them from conception through implementation, delivery, and documentation phases.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of three years’ experience in professional iOS development with advanced competence in Swift and current iOS development frameworks.
• Experience or keen interest in continuous integration and delivery pipelines and developer tooling with a focus on automation benefits.
• Strong grasp of software testing practices, architectural design patterns, and pragmatic application of design principles.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of handling both structured tasks and ambiguous challenges beyond conventional team roles.
• Ability to work patiently within complex legacy codebases, including improving and maintaining code quality with a long-term vision.
• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate across teams, switch contexts smoothly, and clarify technical discussions.
