Facilities Engineer

Role Overview and Responsibilities

• Oversee management of both hard and soft specialist facility services ensuring operational efficiency.
• Lead projects and supervise both internal teams and external contractors to maintain service quality and safety standards.
• Serve as the liaison for association board members, owners, and tenants to address complaints and resolve disputes effectively.
• Coordinate with local authorities including Dubai Civil Defense and RTA to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Keep accurate asset tracking and management records to safeguard facility resources.
• Plan, oversee, and report on essential services such as reception, security, maintenance, cleaning, parking control, waste disposal, and recycling operations.
• Establish service level agreements based on key performance indicators to objectively evaluate contractor performance.
• Supervise operations and preventive maintenance activities for all mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) equipment and civil/structural components of the mall.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all facility activities.
• Monitor asset performance to align with equipment manufacturers’ efficiency and maintenance guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to address any facility management related requirements.
• Complete assigned tasks within deadlines set by direct management.
• Strictly enforce safety regulations during all maintenance and repair work.
• Maintain high standards of work quality and customer service, including effectively managing customer complaints and inquiries.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Have at least 6 years of practical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) or facility management roles.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of MEP and HVAC systems along with experience operating Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Hold strong project and facilities management skills with proficiency in MS Windows applications.
• Exhibit fluency in English with excellent communication capabilities.
• Show proven leadership and organizational abilities, overseeing teams and contractor management effectively.
• Possess familiarity with FM networking and computer-aided facilities management (CAFM) solutions such as CAFM Explorer or equivalent platforms.
