About the Internship
This internship involves contributing daily to the business development function of a company specializing in technological solutions aimed at transforming urban infrastructure in India. As an intern, you will focus on generating leads, establishing contact with prospective clients, supporting pre-sales activities, managing the sales pipeline, and gathering market intelligence within the transit and mobility sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential transit agencies, public transport departments, and important operational, technical, and procurement decision-makers.
- Conduct outreach efforts through cold emails, LinkedIn, and phone calls to communicate product value and arrange initial discovery meetings for the sales team.
- Support the customization of sales materials including pitch decks and company profiles suited to specific client needs.
- Maintain and update records of outreach, follow-ups, and responses using CRM or spreadsheet software.
- Keep track of industry trends, public tenders, and requests for proposals relevant to transit technology.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, crucial for professional B2B interactions.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, web-based research, and basic CRM or Excel tools.
- Prior interest or experience in pre-sales, B2B sales, or business development is highly preferred.
- A passion for urban mobility technology is advantageous.
- Strong perseverance, organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential.
