Overview
This position entails ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and quality control within veterinary pharmaceutical operations. The role demands maintaining licenses, overseeing product sourcing, managing recalls, and ensuring the safe distribution of authorized medications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain valid wholesale premises licenses in compliance with regional drug authority requirements.
- Ensure all products are procured only from licensed manufacturers and authorized suppliers.
- Administer product recall processes, document customer complaints, and maintain records of adverse event reports.
- Confirm client credentials to guarantee controlled and prescription medications are delivered exclusively to authorized parties.
- Manage inventory by applying First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) and First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods for stock control.
- Track batch numbers, serialization details, and monitor medicine expiration dates to ensure product integrity.
- Oversee proper physical storage conditions, including monitoring room temperature and humidity to preserve product quality.
- Maintain cold-chain protocols rigorously for vaccines, biologics, and temperature-sensitive injectables, including continuous data logging.
- Supervise the accuracy of picking, packing, and labeling procedures prior to order dispatch.
- Lead warehouse personnel and pharmacy technicians in handling animal health-related products.
- Provide technical guidance to logistics teams regarding handling of hazardous or restricted veterinary compounds.
