Role Overview

We are seeking an Operations and Control Manager to act as the pivotal control point for commercial operations. This hands-on position involves full accountability for the entire commercial operating cycle, including opportunity approval, contracting, delivery mobilization, billing, and revenue recognition, with a focus on accuracy, disciplined execution, and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage commercial contracts and governance by being the primary regional contact, handling contract development, review, execution, amendments, and renewals, ensuring alignment with deal structures.
• Support sales teams by coordinating operational workflows, resolving bottlenecks, and improving contracting turnaround times.
• Assist in revenue operations through monthly forecasting, precise revenue recognition, commercial tracking, and timely escalation of revenue-at-risk concerns.
• Oversee business controls and governance, ensuring proper management of purchase orders, statements of work, third-party workforce onboarding, and offshore cash billing to uphold transparent risk management.
• Promote process excellence by driving data governance, spotting opportunities for automation, and implementing standardized operational practices to support regional expansion.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of eight years' experience in commercial operations, Line 1 Risk, governance, or consulting operations throughout the commercial lifecycle.
• Possess a strong commercial acumen coupled with analytical skills; adept at managing sales pipelines, contracting, revenue realization, and complex matrix environments.
• Proficient in establishing disciplined operational routines, tracking tasks, managing risk escalations, and maintaining audit-compliant documentation.
• A self-motivated professional paying close attention to detail, demonstrating high ownership, and utilizing data to clarify operational uncertainties.
• Preferred experience includes exposure to large-scale professional services, corporate banking, fintech sectors, or commercial operations with stringent governance.

Additional Information

This is a fixed-term contract lasting one year based out of Auckland CBD offices, offering a hybrid working arrangement and a collaborative workplace culture.
