Job description
Position Overview
Join Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts as a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure excellence in guest room and public area cleanliness. This role entails inspecting cleaned areas like guest rooms, public spaces, and pools to confirm they meet quality standards and coordinating with multiple departments to maintain efficient operations.
Key Duties
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and pool areas post-cleaning to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Generate reports for sold rooms, verify room statuses, prioritize room cleaning tasks, and update departing room conditions.
- Support housekeeping management with daily activity coordination and act as a communication link among Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
- Report and resolve discrepancies in rooms by liaising with Front Desk personnel.
- Prepare and distribute updated room assignments and communicate shift changes effectively.
- Assist in recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff members.
- Comply fully with company safety and security guidelines, promptly report hazards, accidents, and maintenance issues, and complete all necessary safety training.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of sensitive company information, safeguarding company assets.
- Engage guests warmly following company hospitality standards, anticipate their needs, assist those with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
- Maintain effective communication using clear and professional language, develop positive relationships, and respond appropriately to colleague concerns.
- Uphold quality and operational standards continuously.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting and moving objects up to 55 pounds independently, assisting with heavier loads, pushing/pulling housekeeping carts across varied surfaces, bending, stooping, standing, walking, and fine motor activities required for job functions.
- Use computer and point of sale systems to access and manage work information and documentation.
- Be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience is required.
- Prior supervisory experience of at least 1 year is necessary.
- No particular license or certification is mandated for this position.
