FX Quantitative Analyst

About the Role and Business Unit

The Corporate Development Group (CDG) at Tencent serves as the hub for incubating new businesses and exploring emerging opportunities. CDG is responsible for driving innovation in key sectors such as financial technology, advertising, payment, and financial applications. It also provides strategic support across the company in areas like strategic planning, investments, mergers, investor relations, global communications, marketing, and public relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative analysis of foreign exchange (FX) strategies by collecting, organizing, modeling, and analyzing data from the FX platform to uncover new strategy opportunities through data-driven insights.
• Monitor and evaluate FX strategies that are in production using quantitative methods, identifying significant patterns and drivers from data to optimize strategy performance under varying market and business conditions.
• Develop and manage comprehensive data infrastructure for the FX platform based on strategy and business needs, ensuring data quality and progressively enhancing the platform's data capabilities.
• Create data-driven FX customer profiles aligned with business requirements to support business teams using quantitative tools and operational insights.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in quantitative analysis or development in banking or financial institutions, with a deep understanding of financial markets.
• Strong ability to recognize meaningful market trends and patterns.
• Proficiency in classical statistical analysis, strong data analysis, and programming skills, capable of independently managing the end-to-end data analysis process aided by AI tools.

• Familiarity with analyzing counterparty trading behaviors and execution patterns.
