Role overview
A pharmaceutical company in Dublin North is hiring an experienced Document Controller for a site-based capital project in Ireland. This is an initial 12-month contract and the position is fully based on site, supporting the client team with governance and control of project documentation throughout design, construction, CQV, and handover.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of client-side document control across the full project lifecycle.
- Handle incoming documents, reviews, approvals, issuance, version control, and secure archiving.
- Coordinate with EPCM partners, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams to keep documentation aligned.
- Make sure all records meet GMP, data integrity, and ALCOA+ requirements.
- Keep document logs, trackers, and status updates accurate and current.
- Assist with CQV packs, executed protocols, and the transition of final documentation to operations.
- Contribute to audits, inspections, and project close-out work.
Experience and skills
The ideal candidate will have worked as a Document Controller on pharmaceutical or life sciences capital projects and should be comfortable operating within a client-side or owner’s project team. Practical experience with EIDA is essential, along with a solid grasp of GMP documentation standards. Background supporting construction, commissioning, and qualification documentation is also required.
Desirable background
Additional exposure to major Irish pharma projects, including drug product, biologics, or sterile manufacturing facilities, would be an advantage. Familiarity with ValGenesis, Kneat, ACC, or similar document management platforms is also desirable.
