Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Scientist in Singapore to work with a leading AI-focused fintech company. The position centers on building data-driven solutions for banking use cases, with a strong emphasis on fraud detection, credit risk, and advanced machine learning.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and operationalize machine learning models for credit risk assessment, payment intelligence, and fraud detection.
- Examine transaction-level data to uncover fraud behaviors, suspicious activity, and new risk signals.
- Carry out feature creation, model training, validation, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Work closely with Risk, Product, and Engineering partners to move models into live production environments.
- Make sure model development and deployment align with regulatory requirements and compliance expectations.
What We’re Looking For
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a closely related area.
- Prior experience in data science, ideally in banking, fintech, or fraud analytics.
- Strong working knowledge of Python, SQL, and machine learning methodologies.
- Practical exposure to NLP methods.
- Experience or familiarity with Generative AI and/or large language models is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of banking products, fraud typologies, and risk modeling concepts.
- Experience applying supervised and unsupervised learning, statistical methods, and AI-based techniques.
