Role Overview

As a Data Analyst within the Operations department based in Dubai, UAE, you will develop foundational expertise in converting complex data into meaningful business insights. This position entails supporting analytical endeavors, assisting with AI-related solutions, and skillfully navigating multifaceted datasets to contribute to solving business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to capture data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Conduct data analyses using SQL and business intelligence tools such as Power BI to detect trends, produce reports, and develop visual dashboards to aid decision-makers.
• Maintain data quality by validating, cleansing, and structuring datasets from diverse sources.
• Support the creation of new data prototypes and the maintenance and improvement of existing dashboards and reports.
• Engage in full-cycle data projects, including gathering requirements, modeling data, prototyping reports, and designing data pipelines.
• Promote data literacy across departments to enhance self-service analytic capabilities among business units.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with stakeholders and data engineers promptly.
• Assist senior analysts and business partners with ad-hoc duties such as data blending, prototyping, quality checks, and preparing presentation materials.
• Document workflows, methodologies, and analytical insights to facilitate transparency and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Between 2 to 4 years of practical experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or reporting roles.
• Familiarity with Power BI or comparable BI platforms is preferred.
• Proficient in SQL and MS Excel for data querying and manipulation; knowledge of Python for data analysis is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively, including collaborating and influencing at senior levels.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret intricate data and convey results clearly.
• Attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality deliverables.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills, capable of mentoring peers and performing well in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Motivated to learn and grow within an evolving analytics team.
• Prior exposure to AI and experience in hospitality or travel sectors are seen as a plus.
