Business Development Manager - Data Centre Sector

Their extensive portfolio includes cable, connectivity, and infrastructure solutions that support vital energy, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure projects worldwide. Recently, the company has intensified its focus on the data centre sector, offering solutions across power cables, fiber optic connectivity, and related infrastructure, alongside design, installation, and post-sales support services.

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager with a background in data centres to lead growth efforts within Singapore’s data centre market.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive market research to uncover emerging trends, technology advancements, competitors, and potential growth avenues within the data centre industry.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of data centre infrastructure solutions, including structured cabling, connectivity, and associated technologies.
• Stay informed on industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices affecting data centre infrastructure.
• Strategize and implement growth initiatives focused on the data centre segment, identifying and pursuing new business prospects.
• Establish and nurture relationships with various stakeholders such as data centre owners, consultants, contractors, distributors, system integrators, and other industry collaborators.
• Collaborate closely with sales and technical teams in managing customer engagements, conducting site visits, technical evaluations, and developing tailored solutions.
• Represent the company at relevant industry gatherings, conferences, and client meetings, delivering insights and compelling presentations.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline coupled with strong commercial and marketing acumen.
• Has accumulated at least 8 years of professional experience within data centres, structured cabling, electrical infrastructure, or large system integration sectors.
• Demonstrates solid expertise in structured cabling solutions and related infrastructure pertinent to data centres.
• Experience collaborating with vendors, consultants, distributors, contractors, and end users is essential.
• Proven ability to enhance brand presence by engaging partners, providing technical training, and participating in industry events.
• Exhibits strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Self-driven with a commercial mindset and capable of working autonomously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Holding a CDCP or equivalent data centre certification is considered advantageous.

Working Arrangement and Compensation

This role follows a hybrid work model, involving three days per week in the office and two days working remotely. The total monthly remuneration can reach up to SGD 11,000, complemented by a travel allowance.
