Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Biology Expert to join one of our clients on a full-time remote basis. The successful candidate, holding a PhD or Master’s in Biology or a related field, will focus on creating and solving sophisticated biology challenges to test the boundaries of large language models (LLMs). This role requires collaboration with LLM researchers to tailor problem types that meet evaluation objectives while enhancing model fine-tuning efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Design intricate biology problems aimed at probing the limitations of LLMs.
- Develop methodical and thorough solutions with clear and logical reasoning.
- Work closely with researchers to align the problem sets with desired evaluation goals, focusing on areas where models tend to underperform.
- Assist in establishing new evaluation benchmarks derived from biology curricula ranging from early undergraduate to PhD level.
- Translate complex biological topics into straightforward and concise explanations, maintaining efficiency.
Qualifications
- Possession of a PhD or Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related discipline.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities in biology.
- Skill in providing constructive feedback accompanied by detailed annotations.
- Ability to think creatively and laterally to tackle challenging scientific problems.
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills suitable for a remote work environment.
- Highly self-driven with the capacity to operate independently from a remote setting.
