Internship Synopsis and Duties

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of film direction. Interns will be responsible for absorbing script details and the core emotional and narrative elements, formulating creative and storytelling visions tailored to projects, and segmenting scripts into manageable scenes for direction.

Tasks involve devising shot concepts, storyboarding, organizing rehearsals, and mentoring actors in delivering performances suitable to the story. Interns will direct scenes under supervision, collaborate with cinematographers on visual style decisions, and manage coordination among various production departments. They must monitor shoot quality, ensuring consistency in tone and character portrayal, and assist editors in shaping the final product during post-production, including overseeing creative elements like sound and color.

Additional expectations include innovating original cinematic storytelling ideas, analyzing established films and directors for technique inspiration, and engaging in practical exercises such as screen tests and rehearsals.

Eligibility to Apply

Applicants must be available for part-time engagement starting anytime between August 20 and September 24, 2026, committing to a full three-month duration. Candidates should possess relevant skills and interests in film direction, and women seeking to launch or restart their careers are particularly encouraged to apply.
