Internship Overview
This internship offers an opportunity to delve into the strategies that drive successful YouTube channel growth. Interns will research trending video ideas, analyze competitor channels, and decode factors behind highly engaging videos such as effective title formats, thumbnails, hooks, and audience retention. You'll assist with research for long-form video content and handle comprehensive YouTube packaging efforts. Additionally, pitching and testing thumbnail and title ideas will be part of your role, along with performing weekly analytics to evaluate content performance.
Requirements and Ideal Candidate Profile
- A genuine passion for YouTube, involving active studying of content creators rather than passive viewing.
- Understanding of critical video success elements including compelling titles, thumbnails, engaging hooks, attractive packaging, and viewer retention.
- Ability to perform swift and insightful content research with an intuitive content sensibility.
- Effective asynchronous communication skills, including proactive issue flagging without lapses in communication.
- Dependability, openness to coaching, and ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Comfortable with remote work setup and self-time management.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience managing or having managed a personal YouTube channel, regardless of size.
- Familiarity with YouTube optimization tools such as VidIQ or TubeBuddy.
- Skills in analyzing YouTube video performance data.
