About Milestone

Milestone is a registered non-profit NGO that has been actively working since 2014 in areas such as health and hygiene, child and youth empowerment, women’s development, and environmental advocacy. Certified under ISO 9001:2015 and recognized by the Government of Delhi and NITI Aayog, the organization strives to empower all societal sections towards self-reliance and dignity. Additionally, it holds a Certificate of Good Governance awarded by Credibility Alliance.

Internship Role and Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with educational institutions like schools, colleges, and Anganwadis, as well as community groups, to conduct meetings and deliver training, awareness campaigns, and educational activities.
  • Lead interactive and instructional sessions targeting children, women, and community members.
  • Assist in outreach and mobilisation efforts, including workshops, campaigns, and community events.
  • Maintain coordination with key stakeholders including teachers, parents, and community representatives.
  • Keep detailed records of attendance, photographic evidence, reports, and all field documentation.
  • Ensure regular updates of the Management Information System (MIS) and programme data.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, progress reviews, and training sessions.
  • Prepare comprehensive activity reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis as required.
  • Support overall programme execution and various field-related tasks.
  • Carry out additional assigned duties as directed by programme coordinators and organisation leadership.

Eligibility and Candidate Profile

  • Applicants must be available for a full-time in-office internship lasting six months, starting between September 15 and October 20, 2026.
  • Only candidates residing in Delhi are eligible to apply.
  • Preference will be given to women, including those looking to launch or recommence their professional careers.
  • Applicants should possess relevant skills and interests matching the role.
  • Candidates must have a graduation or postgraduate qualification, or degrees such as BSW, MSW, or BBA.
  • Must be willing to commit Monday through Saturday and undertake regular field visits to schools, colleges, or community sites.
  • Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Comfort interacting with diverse groups including children, women, teachers, and community members is required.
  • Basic proficiency in computer use, especially for documentation and MIS updating, is necessary.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Stipend and Compensation

The stipend package ranges between ₹5,000 to ₹16,000 per month, which is split into a fixed component (₹2,000 to ₹6,000) and an incentive-based component (₹3,000 to ₹10,000).
