About the Internship

This internship offers an opportunity to engage deeply with site engineering focused on interior design for a hospitality environment in Rishikesh. Responsibilities include drafting floor plans, creating 3D visualizations, designing custom furniture, integrating local aesthetic themes, sourcing durable materials, and producing detailed technical drawings and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D floor plans, furniture arrangements, and dense dormitory zoning layouts using AutoCAD.
• Create detailed 3D models and realistic interior visualizations using software such as SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, or V-Ray, focusing on common spaces and cafés.
• Design multi-tier bunk beds that are space-efficient, including features like integrated storage, privacy elements, and electrical points.
• Incorporate local cultural elements from Rishikesh's Bohemian, spiritual, and adventure themes into design concepts.
• Identify cost-effective and durable materials like bamboo, jute, stone, and wood sourced locally, suited for heavy-use hostel settings.
• Assist with technical drawings including 2D elevations, sectional views, electrical and lighting layouts, and ceiling plans.
• Contribute to maintaining project documentation such as the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material specifications, and vendor lists.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Applicants must be civil engineering students available for a full-time, in-office internship starting between October 22, 2026, and November 26, 2026.
• Duration of internship is six months, and candidates should have relevant skills and interests aligned with the role.
• Applicants are expected to present a design portfolio showcasing strong capabilities in 2D space planning and 3D rendering.
• Must have proficiency with AutoCAD for precise drafting and familiarity with 3D modeling/rendering tools such as SketchUp, Revit, Lumion, or V-Ray.
• Understanding of space optimization, ergonomics, commercial layouts, and designing space-saving furniture is required.
• Basic knowledge of commercial-grade materials and local sourcing strategies is essential.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to feedback are necessary soft skills.

Stipend and Benefits

• The monthly stipend ranges from INR 10,000 to INR 15,000.
