Operations Internship at SuperTails

About the Role

This internship calls for an action-oriented individual who excels in implementing plans devised by the team. Your core responsibility will be to oversee stakeholder management, execute on-ground operations, and promptly address any issues as they arise. You will collaborate extensively with various departments, including Marketing, Category, Technology/Product, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, and Finance. The role predominantly involves active involvement on the field and managing communication rather than desk work.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison among the healthcare team and departments such as Marketing, Category, Tech/Product, Customer Experience, Supply Chain, Finance, and HR.
• Follow up persistently with task owners until completion.
• Coordinate effectively with veterinarians, vendors, partners, and local community stakeholders to ensure seamless progress.
• Identify and escalate obstacles early with clear solutions and subsequently ensure resolution.
• Successfully implement campaigns and activations from planning to execution on the ground.
• Manage logistics including vendor coordination, materials handling, stock management, and staff deployment to ensure timely delivery.
• Regular site visits to monitor processes, identify deficiencies, and provide immediate corrective measures.
• Assist new product or service launches by ensuring operational readiness and smooth launch-day activities.
• Maintain updated trackers and provide daily performance reports proactively.

Candidate Profile

• Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative and acts promptly without needing repeated instructions.
• Adaptable and pragmatic thinker who reads situations well and devises practical solutions when plans falter.
• Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of outcomes and perseverance until tasks are fully closed.
• Effective communicator fluent in English and either Hindi or Kannada, capable of interacting comfortably with veterinarians, vendors, and senior leadership.
• Organized multitasker proficient in maintaining clear data trackers using tools like Excel or Google Sheets.
• Comfortable with frequent travel across the city and hands-on engagement at operational locations.
• Applicants should be final-year students or recent graduates in any discipline; an MBA or related qualification will be advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internships or experience in operations, events, sales, or startup environments.
• Leadership roles such as managing college fests, clubs, or on-ground events are beneficial.
• Passion for pets is a significant plus.
• Possession of a two-wheeler for site visits is advantageous but not mandatory.
