Internship Role and Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineering intern, you will engage in the full product lifecycle associated with agricultural and food processing machinery. This includes designing, prototyping, testing, and researching mechanical systems to develop efficient and practical solutions.

• Assist in designing agricultural and food processing equipment, encompassing 3D CAD modeling and detailed engineering drawings.
• Select suitable materials and components including bearings, fasteners, motors, and drivetrains.
• Perform foundational mechanical calculations related to loads, torque, speed, power, and dimensions.
• Create designs that are manufacturable, maintainable, and operable with an emphasis on practicality.
• Incorporate feedback from testing and manufacturing to enhance designs.
• Construct and assemble prototypes, conduct functionality tests assessing performance, reliability, and usability.
• Identify mechanical problems, aid troubleshooting, and implement solutions.
• Document testing outcomes, design adjustments, and product improvements.
• Undertake research on existing machinery and technologies to devise design improvements that boost productivity, durability, and maintenance convenience.
• Propose enhancements to current products and contribute to the development of new innovations.
• Maintain organized engineering documentation and adhere to best design standards.

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must commit to a full-time, in-office internship.
• Internship start dates should be between October 30, 2026, and December 4, 2026.
• The internship period is fixed at six months.
• Applicants should possess the relevant mechanical engineering skills and a strong interest in the domain.

• Stipend ranges from INR 2000 to INR 6000 per month.
