About the Internship
This internship involves hands-on work in building and enhancing the knowledge graph supporting an M&A buyer-discovery platform. Key tasks include schema design, ingesting data about companies, deals, and people, and crafting queries for analysts using graph databases similar to Graphiti or Neo4j.
Interns will develop Python scripts to extract entities and relationships from unstructured sources such as business news, filings, and deal documentation to populate the graph database. They will also refine extraction outputs by removing duplicates, correcting merge errors, and verifying results against original documents.
Conducting small, controlled experiments on AI components like extraction prompts and entity matching is part of the role, with an emphasis on quantitative result reporting. Interns are expected to independently study documentation for unfamiliar tools and execute their setups without detailed guidance.
Candidate Eligibility
- Must be able to work fully remotely.
- Availability to work from 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST to align with the company's local hours (10:00 AM to 7:00 PM CET).
- Start date between September 21, 2026, and October 26, 2026.
- Commitment to a 6-month tenure.
- Relevant skills and interests in machine learning and related domains.
Other Requirements
- Proficiency in writing and debugging code, primarily in Python; candidates strong in other languages should present prior projects.
- Demonstrated ability for rapid learning evidenced by projects, open-source contributions, technical writing, or competitive programming.
- No prior experience required with knowledge graphs, Graphiti, Neo4j, or large language model tools; training will be provided.
- Comfortable with remote work including written progress updates, addressing queries promptly, and articulating and justifying one's work.
- Open to candidates with any degree or academic background, focus is on demonstrated project work rather than formal education.
Compensation and Benefits
The stipend ranges from INR 25,000 to INR 40,000 per month. Interns will receive a certificate upon completion, a letter of recommendation, and work a five-day week schedule.
