This internship involves designing and developing mechanical products with a focus on enclosures, mounts, and internal components using Autodesk Fusion 360. The intern will build 3D CAD models and prototypes, emphasizing aesthetics, ergonomics, and usability. Mechanical designs will integrate key hardware components such as PCBs, sensors, displays, and connectors. You will be responsible for assembling and testing physical prototypes using methods like 3D printing and collaborating directly with local fabrication vendors covering CNC machining, laser cutting, and 3D printing in Chennai.
Material selection, fastening methods, and manufacturing approaches must consider assembly tolerances and constraints. The role demands iterative design improvements based on prototype testing results, ensuring the final product fulfills functional requirements.
