This internship opportunity offers hands-on involvement with the finance and accounting team at a renowned energy infrastructure company. The intern will engage in daily financial activities such as ledger maintenance, data handling, and statutory compliance documentation. It's an ideal role for candidates aiming to deepen their understanding of corporate finance, financial reporting, and tax procedures like GST and TDS. Preference is given to individuals keen on the Oil & Gas sector with a solid academic grounding in finance.

Responsibilities

Maintain accounting records including journal entries, ledgers, and bank reconciliations on a daily basis.
Manage accounts payable and receivable by organizing invoices, monitoring receipts, and ensuring proper document follow-up.
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements through data compilation.
Organize and assist in statutory compliance documentation such as GST, TDS, and payroll filings.
Contribute to budgeting and forecasting by compiling relevant data and performing basic variance analyses.
Investigate and help resolve routine financial discrepancies under supervision.
Assist in coordinating and supporting internal, statutory, and tax audits through proper document handling.
Gather and organize data related to payroll processing and associated records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and streamline accounting tasks via administrative and analytical support.

Individuals available for a full-time, in-office internship within Mumbai.
Candidates able to commence between 28th September 2026 and 2nd November 2026.
Those committed to a 6-month internship period.

Educational Qualifications and Other Requirements

Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related disciplines.
Professional certifications like CA Inter or CMA Inter in progress are advantageous.
Up to one year of internship or practical accounting experience is acceptable.
Basic familiarity with accounting software or ERP platforms is preferred.
Awareness of Indian tax laws, including GST and TDS, is desirable.
Introductory knowledge of Indian GAAP or IFRS accounting standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel including formula application and spreadsheet management.
Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of accounting principles.
Eager to learn and comply with GST, TDS, and payroll regulations.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
Ability to function effectively both independently and as part of a team.
High ethical standards, professionalism, and confidentiality compliance.
Effective time management to meet deadlines.
