Internship Overview
This internship provides hands-on experience in data science, focusing on managing and analyzing asset data within AssetCues, an AI-based asset management platform. The intern will engage in critical tasks like data collection, cleansing, transformation, and analysis from various sources to help maintain accurate asset records.
Responsibilities
- Gather, preprocess, and analyze data from diverse sources.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to discover significant trends, irregularities, and quality issues.
- Develop and fine-tune SQL queries for extracting and examining data efficiently.
- Utilize ClickHouse database to handle analytical queries involving large datasets.
- Contribute to database performance improvement by identifying resource-intensive queries and suggesting optimizations.
- Evaluate query execution strategies and support indexing and query modifications for better performance.
- Create summaries, reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for supporting business and technical decisions.
- Investigate emerging tools, algorithms, and technologies to enhance data science initiatives.
- Assist in research and prototype developments for novel data science and analytical solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to understand data necessities and implement data-driven strategies.
- Perform root-cause analysis related to data and system performance concerns.
- Document research outcomes, optimization efforts, and project recommendations.
Candidate Profile
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar discipline.
- Experience through academic or personal projects involving Python, SQL, data analytics, or machine learning.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools like Jupyter Notebook, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Exposure to databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or ClickHouse.
- Genuine interest in machine learning, predictive analytics, or data engineering.
- Availability for a full-time, on-site internship lasting six months starting between August 14 and September 18, 2026.
