About the Internship
This internship offers hands-on experience in Cybersecurity combined with data management and Unix/Linux system administration. Interns will engage in supporting database design, ensuring data integrity, and enforcing compliance with organizational standards. They will monitor security incidents, familiarize themselves with firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection tools, and assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under expert guidance. Additionally, interns will help administer Unix/Linux servers, automate system tasks via scripting, troubleshoot performance issues, and contribute toward system reliability.
Role Responsibilities
The daily tasks include:
- Assisting in the development and optimization of databases and data pipelines.
- Supporting data integrity and organizational compliance efforts.
- Monitoring and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
- Working with firewalls, IDS, and endpoint protection tools.
- Participating in vulnerability scans and entry-level penetration testing.
- Maintaining Unix/Linux servers and software applications.
- Automating system processes through shell scripts and configuration management.
- Troubleshooting system performance and ensuring uptime.
Candidate Eligibility
- Applicants must be able to work remotely.
- Internship start between August 18, 2026, and September 22, 2026.
- Availability for a full 6-month duration is required.
- Strong interest and relevant skills in cybersecurity, data engineering, and system administration.
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
Required and Recommended Skills
- Proficiency in Python and SQL scripting.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving aptitude.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Interest in cybersecurity certifications like CISSP, CEH, RHCE, or CompTIA Security+ is encouraged.
Compensation and Perks
The internship offers a monthly stipend ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹20,000, which includes a fixed pay of ₹10,000 to ₹16,000 plus incentives between ₹2,000 and ₹4,000. Interns will also receive a certificate upon completion.
