About the Internship

Join Umakula Engineers Builders and Developers Private Limited as a Business Development Executive Intern focused on loan generation and financial service sales. This role involves engaging with potential customers for personal, business, home, and property loans by generating inquiries, establishing referral partnerships, and guiding clients through the loan application process directly with the company's founders.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate loan leads through methods such as outreach calls, cold calling, networking within the community, and generating referrals.
• Establish and nurture active referral connections with accountants, real estate brokers, business owners, and various channel partners.
• Assess customers’ financial requirements and perform preliminary eligibility evaluations based on lender criteria.
• Clearly communicate loan options, terms, potential fees, and necessary documentation to prospective clients.
• Facilitate transformation of eligible loan inquiries into complete formal applications.
• Manage the collection and coordination of KYC, income proofs, banking information, business records, and property documentation as relevant.
• Collaborate with banks, NBFCs, and direct selling agents (DSAs) to resolve queries and progress loan applications.
• Monitor each loan from application status through sanction and disbursal, keeping clients regularly updated.
• Maintain detailed CRM records and provide consistent updates on pipeline status and disbursed loans.
• Achieve agreed-upon goals related to qualified applications, sanctioned cases, and generated commission revenue.

• Experience in loan sales, banking, NBFCs, or direct selling agency sectors.
• Proven ability to independently source and convert loan cases successfully.
• Strong networking, communication, negotiation, and follow-up capabilities.
• Working understanding of loan eligibility criteria and documentation processes.
• Skill in cultivating referral networks and managing simultaneous loan applications.
• Comfortable conducting client meetings and undertaking local travel.
• Having an existing borrower or referral network is advantageous.
