Sloop is a cutting-edge lifestyle brand specializing in unisex apparel defined by minimalistic design and precise craftsmanship, merging Japanese style with traditional Indian handloom techniques. Our products meet stringent Japanese export standards given their international reach.
We seek meticulous Apparel Quality Control Interns to join our Kolkata workshop for a 3-month full-time internship starting immediately, with the possibility of permanent employment based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed inspections on finished and semi-finished garments, assessing seams, measurements, and structural soundness.
- Verify that all production items strictly adhere to established Japanese export quality benchmarks.
- Apply hand finishing techniques such as hand stitching and blind hemming to correct minor defects.
- Document inspection results, identify defects, and manage batch approvals using internal digital tools and software.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational background related to fashion design, garment technology, or apparel manufacturing.
- Hands-on skills in hand stitching, hemming, and garment finishing methods.
- Exceptional attention to visual and tactile details during quality inspections.
- Effective communication capabilities and familiarity with digital platforms and documentation.
- Availability for a full-time, in-office internship in Kolkata for a 3-month period starting between 17th September 2026 and 22nd October 2026.
Additional Information
Interns must reside in Kolkata and have a genuine interest and relevant skills in garment quality control.
Compensation for this internship is ₹10,000 per month.
Successful candidates will receive a certificate and letter of recommendation upon completion.
