About the internship
About the Internship
This internship offers hands-on experience supporting the accounting and compliance functions across a group of five companies. The intern will collaborate with the internal team and an external Chartered Accountant (CA) to ensure accurate maintenance of accounting books, bank records, GST-related data, documents, and compliance follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily accounting records for multiple companies.
- Record and organize sales, purchase transactions, expenses, receipts, and payments.
- Manage invoices, bills, vouchers, and related documentation.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and classify bank transactions accurately.
- Prepare GST working papers and assist in filing GST returns.
- Reconcile GST records with accounting books and available GST data.
- Maintain all necessary records required for GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other relevant filings.
- Coordinate with the CA regarding GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory compliances.
- Keep and monitor compliance calendars and ensure tasks are done before deadlines.
- Organize financial and statutory documents for all five companies.
- Assist with banking documents and company transactions as needed.
- Maintain records of vendor and customer outstanding balances.
- Ensure proper and accessible maintenance of accounting and compliance documents.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be available for a full-time, in-office internship.
- Internship start date should be between 23rd September 2026 and 28th October 2026.
- Must commit to a 3-month internship duration.
- Candidates should be located in Bangalore.
- Relevant skills and genuine interest in accounting and compliance are required.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Educational backgrounds such as B.Com, M.Com, BBA Finance, MBA Finance, CA Foundation/Intermediate, CMA, or similar.
- Sound understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Basic knowledge of GST processes including sales/purchase entries and Input Tax Credit (ITC).
- Familiarity with GSTR-1, GSTR-3B filings and GST reconciliation preferred.
- Experience with bookkeeping and bank reconciliation.
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Exposure to accounting software like Tally, Zoho Books, or equivalent is advantageous.
- Strong numerical accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn about MCA, ROC, TDS, and other company compliance procedures.
- Ability to liaise effectively with CA, banks, vendors, and internal teams.
