About
Established in 1972 to commemorate India's silver jubilee of independence, the college was founded by former Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao. It was envisioned as a residential institution to promote regional integration by admitting students from all three regions of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The college is known for its A+ NAAC accreditation and its flagship B.Sc. program.
