Krantisurya Tantya Bhil University was established by the Government of Madhya Pradesh to strengthen higher education in the Nimar region. It is named after the freedom fighter Tantya Bhil and aims to provide quality higher education opportunities to the youth of the region. The university has received recognition from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and affiliates around 80 colleges.
