Role Overview
This position places you at the center of business-unit performance, with responsibility for profitability and operational delivery. You will guide the creation of integrated technical solutions, lead BIM adoption and optimization, and oversee execution across multiple disciplines and project types. The role also calls for a forward-looking mindset to bring emerging digital technologies into the company’s solution set and strengthen its market position.
Strategic and Technical Leadership
- Direct the development of sophisticated technical solutions that bring together architecture, engineering, construction, and technology disciplines.
- Own the business unit’s profit and loss performance, with focus on margin, cost discipline, and business value.
- Spot and apply new technologies such as digital twins, AI-assisted design, and generative modeling to expand service capability.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure technical decisions support business goals and market needs.
BIM Implementation and Optimization
- Make sure BIM practices across the organization follow agreed standards, best practices, and project-specific requirements.
- Coordinate the integration of BIM models across multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote BIM automation, stronger data handling, and interoperability between software platforms.
- Support team capability-building through workshops, knowledge-sharing, and hands-on coaching.
Project Delivery and Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and deliver BIM-focused and multidisciplinary projects on time and within budget.
- Run alignment discussions with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Track progress, monitor outputs, and address delivery risks before they escalate.
- Ensure work meets regulatory requirements, technical standards, and client expectations.
Innovation and Portfolio Development
- Keep up with developments in digital construction and emerging industry practices.
- Recommend and introduce new tools, methods, and service offerings that improve technical capability.
- Partner with leadership to broaden the solution portfolio with innovative service lines.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Serve as the link between design, engineering, and construction groups to improve project outcomes.
- Support collaboration through BIM tools and other digital communication platforms.
- Lead technical reviews, design validation sessions, and quality assurance activities.
Qualification and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
- BIM certification in tools such as Autodesk Revit or Navisworks is preferred.
- Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent credential is an advantage.
Experience and Skills Needed
- 7 to 10 years of experience in BIM and integrated project delivery, including leadership of teams or business units.
- Strong track record in designing and delivering complex, multidisciplinary technical solutions.
- Advanced working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dynamo, BIM 360, and similar platforms.
- Working familiarity with planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
- Demonstrated strength in stakeholder management, technical leadership, and budget ownership.
- Solid understanding of digital design methods, parametric modeling, and applicable regulatory codes.
