Maintenance Worker

Job Overview

CoreCivic is looking for a Maintenance Worker committed to upholding high standards of professionalism and public service within a secure institutional setting. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing various facility building structures and systems, including plumbing, electrical components, machinery, equipment, electronics, vehicles, and grounds.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair the facility's physical structures ensuring operations remain safe and secure.
• Inspect, diagnose, and fix machinery and equipment issues.
• Install or repair electrical apparatus including wiring and electronic machine components.
• Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as defined by the maintenance schedule.
• Supervise and monitor inmates or residents assigned to the Maintenance Department accurately.

Qualifications

• Possession of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in general maintenance or construction work.
• Technical or trade school coursework in maintenance or construction may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Preferred understanding of building construction and systems operation.
• You must hold a valid driver's license.
• Candidate must be at least 21 years old.

Additional Information
