Role Overview

The Technology Management team at Citco is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications within the Reconciliation platform. This role involves close collaboration with product managers, architects, and developers around the globe. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in application development with proficient skills in JavaScript UI/UX frameworks like React and Material UI, alongside Python scripting abilities. Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is considered beneficial. The position reports to the Development Lead/Manager under the Recon IT department.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, improve, and maintain web applications.
• Utilize JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.js effectively.
• Work extensively with web technologies including JavaScript and JSON.
• Apply solid understanding of software design patterns in development tasks.
• Develop single page applications (SPAs) featuring responsive design, fluid layouts, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with colleagues and team leaders.
• Identify and resolve performance issues at the operating system, application, and code levels.
• Quickly learn and apply new technologies, evaluating their potential benefits.
• Create and conduct unit and integration testing for applications.
• Document technical changes clearly and provide adequate support after deployment.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Between 1 to 2 years of experience developing web applications using JavaScript, Python, and JSON.
• Proficient technical skills with JavaScript UI/UX frameworks like React and Material UI and a firm grasp of design patterns.
• Experience in consuming RESTful or GraphQL APIs within SPA clients.
• Formal training or industry-recognized certifications in cloud technologies are advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud development platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and work in a fast-paced, complex IT environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
