Head of Engineering

Overview

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Engineering to lead and expand our technology division at Enago, based in Goregaon West, Mumbai. This senior leadership role demands full ownership of the engineering spectrum including system architecture, product delivery, team leadership, and nurturing a culture of excellence. Collaborating closely with the CEO and cross-functional leaders, you will serve as the technical cornerstone for Enago and Crimson's product suite, ensuring top-tier quality, scalability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and communicate a clear technology strategy and vision aligned with business goals.
• Lead strategic planning and prioritization across departments to define milestones and delivery schedules.
• Manage, mentor, and guide architects, team leads, engineers, and quality assurance testers.
• Establish transparent risk management and governance frameworks.
• Ensure robust security protocols safeguarding organizational and client data.
• Collaborate with architects, leads, engineers, and DevOps teams to codify development standards, validate project assumptions, and oversee sprint plans.
• Foster a culture driven by performance and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of 15 years in information technology roles.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of emerging software development trends.
• Experience leading AI-driven transformation and automation initiatives.
• Proficiency working with Microsoft and open-source technologies, with mandatory expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of logical database design and development, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven track record of developing mission-critical, web-based applications.
• Deep understanding and experience with Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.
• Familiarity with project management frameworks and related tools.
• Preferred knowledge of open-source technologies such as PHP, MySQL, Python, and Odoo.
