About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a Haystack affiliate for a Data Analyst position focused on enhancing data usability to facilitate the implementation of the MEDITECH Expanse platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance data quality to ensure consistent availability of normalized, usable information to clinicians, data scientists, administrators, and report writers.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical teams and clinical users by interpreting workflows, aligning data with industry standards, and supporting terminology normalization efforts.
  • Collaborate with business and product owners, clinical subject matter experts, and technical personnel to define requirements and develop data models while participating in terminology normalization.
  • Provide specialized knowledge regarding Expanse clinical workflows and data structures.
  • Utilize healthcare coding expertise to create and maintain code mappings to normalize terminology.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in healthcare-related roles.
  • At least 7 years’ experience within a hospital setting, ideally in clinical roles, Health Information Management, or billing.
  • Preferred: over 1 year experience in clinical coding.
  • Preferred: more than 1 year experience in data and workflow analysis.
  • Preferred: over 1 year experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as MEDITECH, EPIC, or Cerner in maintenance, build, or implementation capacities.
