Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Operative to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term contract based in Fermoy. This role requires legal authorization to work in Ireland; candidates must have their own transport as this position involves work within the Rush County area and beyond. Our operation supplies award-winning healthy meals to over 400 schools, producing approximately 50,000 meals daily in a modern food manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaboration with management to verify the accuracy of incoming deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP standards and readiness of products for service.
- Serve hot meals to students promptly within defined time frames.
- Establish and nurture relationships with various stakeholders involved in service delivery.
- Manage waste collection responsibly, maintaining cleanliness and proper disposal in designated bins.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in catering is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities combined with effective teamwork skills.
- Ability to persuade and negotiate effectively with others.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Auditing skills are a plus.
