Job description
Role Overview
This role involves managing comprehensive bookkeeping and maintaining precise financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in accounting principles and be proficient in Excel along with accounting software such as Tally.
Key Duties
- Maintain and update accounting records, ledgers, and financial statements accurately and timely.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices and managing payment collections.
- Reconcile bank statements to verify transaction correctness regularly.
- Track expenses and prepare periodic reports to aid in budgetary control and monitoring.
- Support compliance tasks such as GST and TDS filings, coordinating closely with auditors.
- Organize and preserve both digital and paper-based records to facilitate audits and internal reviews.
- Record buying and selling transactions daily to ensure up-to-date data management.
- Update commodity sheets monthly and conduct weekly audits for accuracy.
Candidate Profile
- Educational background: B.Com or BAF graduates or final-year students pursuing these degrees.
- Basic understanding of accounting and bookkeeping processes.
- Familiarity with MS Excel and experience in accounting software like Tally preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with accuracy in financial data handling.
- Demonstrates responsibility, sincerity, and eagerness to learn continuously.
