Software Test Manager - Telecom Domain

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Software Test Manager with significant experience in the Telecommunications domain to oversee testing for telecom applications and platforms. The role demands leadership of QA teams and strategic implementation of robust testing frameworks focused on OSS/BSS, CRM, Billing, Order Management, Provisioning, and Network Operations systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans tailored for telecom projects.
• Lead and manage QA professionals, including both manual and automation testers.
• Supervise multiple testing stages such as System Integration Testing (SIT), system-wide tests, regression, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-to-end testing efforts.
• Guarantee thorough testing coverage across telecom OSS/BSS applications.
• Collaborate closely with business units, project managers, developers, and external vendors to deliver quality outcomes.
• Oversee defect management, risk assessments, and formulation of mitigation plans.
• Champion initiatives that enhance test automation and promote continuous testing methodologies.
• Define, track, and analyze QA performance metrics, key performance indicators, and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and DevOps practices alongside compliance with quality frameworks.
• Prepare detailed status updates and deliver quality-related insights to senior leadership.
• Support production deployments and carry out validation following release.

Qualifications and Expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• More than 10 years of software testing experience, including at least 4 years in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated domain expertise in Telecommunications.
• In-depth knowledge of OSS/BSS systems, CRM and billing platforms, order management, provisioning, mediation, network inventory, and service assurance.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile, Scrum, and DevOps environments.
• Proficiency with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM/QC, and TestRail.
• Strong capability in API testing, database testing, and integration testing disciplines.
• Experience using automation testing frameworks including Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Tosca.
• Skilled in performance testing and other non-functional testing domains.
• Excellent leadership qualities and stakeholder engagement skills.
