About NTU School of EEE
The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is one of its founding colleges, globally recognized for maintaining high academic excellence and outstanding research output. The school boasts more than 130 faculty members and enrolls over 4,000 students, including approximately 1,000 graduate students, making it one of the largest EEE schools worldwide.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Research Engineer dedicated to advancing machine learning models specifically for recommendation systems. This position involves research and development activities, focusing on conceiving new recommendation system architectures, publishing findings in prestigious journals and conferences, and contributing to the scholarly community.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement innovative recommendation system frameworks
- Produce research papers for prominent conferences and journals
- Represent the institution at relevant conferences by presenting research outcomes
- Prepare detailed technical reports on project progress and results
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to final-year project students
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines
- Minimum of four years’ experience in a comparable research engineering role
- Demonstrated history of publishing in top-tier academic journals or conferences
- Strong communication abilities in both written and verbal forms
- Proficient in Python programming and knowledgeable in machine learning techniques
- Capable of independently managing projects and delivering results within tight deadlines
