Python Django Backend Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced backend developer skilled in Python and Django to join our team in Faridabad. The ideal candidate will be proficient in writing clean and scalable code, independently addressing development problems, and eager to adapt to emerging technologies like AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI as they integrate into our workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend systems using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and supplementary tools tailored to project needs.
• Produce clear, maintainable, and scalable code, and be able to justify design decisions.
• Create and manage RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Implement and maintain automated testing for software quality assurance.
• Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing backend systems.
• Implement security measures to safeguard user data and applications.
• Contribute to architectural design and feature development planning.
• Evaluate and prioritize incoming feature requests responsibly.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions aligned with requirements.
• Incorporate AI and related technologies to enhance application development processes.
• Embrace ongoing learning to integrate AI tools into the development lifecycle.
• Lead in application architecture design and guide development teams.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Solid hands-on experience with Python and Django frameworks.
• Proficiency with Django REST Framework for building APIs.
• Experience managing databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Competency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Comfortable using shell commands and working within Linux environments.
• In-depth understanding of REST API standards and design principles.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and cloud deployment platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines through tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Python asynchronous programming (asyncio) and Django async views.
• Background in designing cloud-based application architecture.
• Working knowledge of Redis, Celery task queues, and message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with microservices architecture and serverless deployments (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Hands-on experience utilizing Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Expertise in configuring and managing end-to-end CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
• Understanding authentication mechanisms including OAuth2 and JWT.
• Familiar with monitoring and logging solutions like Sentry, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong foundations in computer science concepts: object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and rapid learning ability.
• Self-driven, earnest, collaborative, and strong communication skills.
• Enthusiastic about AI technologies and open to adopting new AI tools.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience with FastAPI for high-performance services.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Next.js, AngularJS, or Ember.js.
• Familiarity with other backend frameworks including ExpressJS, Spring Boot, or Laravel.
• Competence in Node.js development.
• Leadership experience mentoring junior developers or managing teams.
• Exposure to GraphQL API development.
