Python Developer

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Python Developer for a highly regarded multinational company. This role is based in Bangalore, Pune, or Hyderabad and calls for someone who can build scalable applications, work on data-intensive systems, and contribute to backend and AI/ML-related development.

Job Summary

The position is suited to a developer with 4 to 10 years of practical experience in Python development, backend engineering, and data processing. The right candidate should be comfortable working across application development, machine learning libraries, and production support in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and support Python-based applications that perform reliably at scale.
• Create and maintain backend services using Django.
• Design and improve large data processing workflows with PySpark.
• Use TensorFlow and NumPy to build machine learning and AI-driven solutions.
• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code aligned with object-oriented design principles.
• Work in Unix/Linux environments for day-to-day development, deployment, and issue resolution.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Take part in code reviews, system tuning, debugging, and production support activities.
• Build and use RESTful APIs and connect third-party services where needed.

Required Skills

• Strong command over Python programming
• Practical experience with NumPy and Pandas
• Ability to work with PySpark for large-scale data processing
• Knowledge of TensorFlow for machine learning use cases
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming concepts
• Hands-on experience with Django
• Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments
• Experience with REST APIs and database systems
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting ability

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to big data tools and the Hadoop ecosystem
• Familiarity with HDFS, Hive, YARN, and MapReduce
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Awareness of CI/CD workflows and DevOps practices
• Working knowledge of data engineering and ETL concepts
• Experience in Agile or Scrum-based delivery environments
• Docker and Kubernetes knowledge will be an advantage
